Stacey R. McDaniel Stougard, 42, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Troy; three daughters, Ashley Block of Urbana, Alissa Garthwaite of Marion and Katelyn Akers of Cedar Rapids; her parents, James and Marlene McDaniel of Marion; and a sister, Stephanie (Brandon) Stripling of Marion. She also is survived by five grandchildren, Lance, Noah, Jayden, Zoey and Bentley; and nieces and nephews, Johnathon, Jordan, Jessica and Gabriella.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest P. and Barbara Wolfe.
Stacey was born May 6, 1975, in Iowa City, the daughter of James and Marlene Wolfe McDaniel. She married Troy Stougard in August 1998 in Cedar Rapids.
Stacey worked in the hospitality industry for several years. She enjoyed going to the casinos, crocheting, watching movies, and the time she spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Stacey was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has and been established.
