Squires, Larry L.
Larry L. Squires, 73, of Center Point, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at East Towne Care Center, Independence. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by the Rev. Mike Ellson. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Alice Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include his mother, Iva of Center Point; aunt and uncle, Dave and Darlene Craig of Center Point; aunt, Gladys Jones of Marion; and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his father.
Born April 2, 1937, in the Center Point area, Larry was the son of Gilbert and Iva (Jones) Squires. Larry graduated from Center Point High School and served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. After 43 years he retired from Longview Fibre.
Larry was a member of Green's Grove Congregational Church and enjoyed bowling and fishing.
