Sprague, Theodore Morris
Theodore Morris Sprague, 72, Central City, formerly of Anderson, Mo., died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center of a sudden illness. A celebration of his life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Horseshoe Falls Lodge, Pinicon Ridge Park, Central City.
Survivors include his son, Stephen Sprague of Brooks, Maine; son, Christopher Sprague of Central City; and daughter-in-law Tracy Sprague, and there two daughters, Madison and Kaitlyn Sprague.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjie and Morris Sprague; and his brother, James Morris Sprague, all of Anderson, Mo.
Ted was born Feb. 7, 1941, son to Marjie and Morris Sprague of Anderson, Mo. After graduation, Ted served two years in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962 as a radio repairman in Germany. After the military he graduated from Kansas City Tech and was recruited to work at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids from 1968 to 2001. A lot of his radio designs are still being used today by air traffic control and NASA.
Ted had a lot of interests as he coached metro football and Little League Baseball. He loved fishing and hunting, participating in his grandkids lives and above all his dogs!!
