Sovilla "Mae" Shimon, 78, lifelong resident of this area, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.
