Soper, Charles H.
Charles H. Soper, 80, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Nov. 11, 2010, at home. Memorial services and burial will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, Ocala.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon G. Soper, Ocala; children, Jeffrey Soper and Chaplain Cynthia McKenzie; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford and Roger Soper; sisters, Audrey Zimmer and Wanda Smiley; and close friend, Bill W.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Gregory.
Charles was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Langworthy, Iowa, to Clifford and Welhemina Soper. He served in the U.S. Army. In 1999, he moved from Cedar Rapids to Ocala.
