Snitkey, Mark V.
Mark V. Snitkey, 56, of Cedar Rapids, died March 8, 2010. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, with a vigil service by the Rev. John Gossman at 7:30 p.m. Private family burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Humboldt, Iowa.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Snitkey of Center Point, Matthew Snitkey of New York City and Bradley Snitkey of Walker; sister, Kathleen (Art) Barron of Marion; brother, Philip (Carol) Snitkey of Clive; and sister, Ginger (Phil Kuhn) of Waukee.
Mark was born July 17, 1953, in Oelwein, the son of Henry and Catherine (Enis) Snitkey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam era. Mark retired from Swiss Valley Farms after working with them for 31 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Mark's family.
