Snitker, Steven Paul 'Wacky'
Steven Paul “Wacky” Snitker, 58, of Martelle, passed away Aug. 10, 2010, in Portage, Mich. Services will be 3 p.m. Aug. 22 at St. James United Methodist Church, 1430 Ellis Blvd. NW, Cedar Rapids, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time.
Steven is survived by his wife, Robin, who he married Dec. 9, 1998; son, Cody; stepdaughter, Renae; two granddaughters, Zoey and Eden; and mother-in-law, Marlene Johnson, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Joyce Kuhse of Postville; four brothers, Arlyn, Russell, Vern and Bruce; four sisters, Barb, Delora, Nancy and LaVonne; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Steven was born Aug. 10, 1952, in Waukon, Iowa, to Donald and Joyce Snitker. He worked at Seeger's Truck and Trailer in Cedar Rapids for 10 years as a mechanic. He then returning to driving semi which he had done for the past 15 years.
He participated in ABATE District 5, was a member of the Harley Owners Group, and was a charter and lifetime member and assistant director for the Cedar Rapids chapter.
