Snields, Arlene Ruth
Arlene Ruth Shields was born Arlene Ruth Stoll on June 25, 1924, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Eva Stoll. She passed on to Heaven on Dec. 4, 2010.
Arlene is survived by her husband and soul mate of 65 years, Richard; two daughters, Becky Baird and Janet Dee; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mom and Dad's love could not be broken by the chains of Alzheimer's disease. Their undying love for each other knew no bounds. Arlene lived in San Joaquin County, Calif., for 40 years. Some of her favorite pastimes were tending to her flower garden, listening to music, watching the hummingbirds, baking, and reading.
Arlene was a loving, caring woman who was totally devoted to family.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation was Dec. 8 at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary in Stockton, Calif. Private family graveside services will take place.
