Smyth, Kathryn Louise
Kathryn Louise Smyth, 82, passed away June 15, 2012, in Cedar Rapids.
Kathryn was born June 1, 1930, to James Harvey and Kathryn Margaret (Lehnen) Smyth in Cedar Rapids. Kathryn received a bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked at Mercy Hospital and for many years was the director of nursing at St. Luke's Hospital here in Cedar Rapids.
Kathryn is survived by two brothers; James L. (Sally Jo) Smyth and Ted H. (Mary Lee) Smyth; and nieces and nephews, James Michael, Brenda Jo, Lynn Marie, Staci Louise and Stephen Edward.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and two nephews, Patrick Allen and Scott Blaine.
Kathryn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
No services are planned at this time. Services are under the direction of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
