Ruby M. Smith, 96, died Jan. 27, 2012, at East Towne Care Center, Independence. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 31, White Funeral Home, Independence. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Feb. 1, Garrison United Methodist Church, Garrison.
Survivors include her daughter, Haroldine “Hal” (Steve) Brentner, Rowley; and three grandchildren: Kenneth (Stephenie) Brentner, State College, Pa.; Alan (Anne Koschmeder) Brentner, Rochester, Minn.; and Susan (Edward) Lala, Fairfax, Iowa.
