Smith, Michael Ray
Michael Ray Smith, 57, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church, Walford, with the Rev. Mike Townsley officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kriss; two sons, Kurtis M. (Megan) of Amana and Shaun (Sarita) of Georgia; two daughters, Angela (Jonathan) Beltz of Cedar Rapids and Lisa (Dan) Young of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; his father, Dale Smith of Washington, Iowa; two brothers, Steven (Joyce) Smith of Washington and J.D. (Linda) Smith of Texas; and a close friend, Randy Boileau of Ainsworth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Greiner Smith; three brothers; a sister; and a granddaughter in infancy.
