Smith, Melvin L.
Melvin L. Smith, 90, of Newton, formerly of Victor, died March 27, 2010. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 1, at Victor Baptist Church. Burial: Victor Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call beginning 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church, where the Smith family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Survivors include two sons, Dean M. Smith of Phoenix and Kenneth J. Smith of Newton; two daughters, Linda A. Gross of Victor and Rhonda E. Klaassen of Brooklyn, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Smith of North English; and one sister, Doris Burden of Springfield, Mo.
Memorials may be directed to the Victor Baptist Church or the Eastern Iowa Bible Camp.
