Smith, Mary Madora Adeline (Lonsdale)

Mary Madora Adeline (Lonsdale) Smith, 85, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the United Presbyterian Home following a lengthy illness.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at the United Methodist Church with Ilene Schnicker officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. Madora is survived by her husband, Dr. Max L. Smith of Washington, Iowa; son, Mark Richard Smith of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Mary Annette Sistern of Washington, Iowa; granddaughter, Bambi Darlene Sistern of Waseka, Minn.; three great-grandchildren, Malachi, Max, and Lillie Goodwin, all of Washington, Iowa; sister, Neva Gladys Burba of Palos Heights, Ill.; and brother, Richard “J.D.” Lonsdale and wife, Alice, of Midway, Ga.
