Smith, Danny D.
Danny D. Smith of Cedar Rapids died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where visitation will be on Monday from 3 until 6 p.m. A private burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Smith of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, and brothers, Harry and Dale Smith.
Danny was born July 27, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Virgil and Mary (Phillipson) Smith. He was a member of the Viola Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, making crafts with his brothers and working on cars. He was also a great cook. Danny loved helping people and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
