Smith, Dale D.
Dale D. Smith, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, following a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where visitation will be today from 3 until 6 p.m. Burial: private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Smith, and a brother, Danny Smith, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Harry Smith.
Dale was born Dec. 2, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Virgil and Mary (Phillipson) Smith. He was employed at the Wayerhaeuser Co.
He was a member of Viola Methodist Church and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, making crafts with his brother and was a great cook. Dale loved helping people and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
