Slagle, Dorothy E. (Wilson)

Dorothy E. (Wilson) Slagle, 95, of Conway, Ark., passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010.

She was born July 15, 1915, in Barnes City, Mahaska County, Iowa, to the late James W. Wilson and Dora C. (Grosscup) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leonard R. Slagle; a brother, Marion D. Wilson; and two grandchildren, Michele and Shane Musgrove.

She graduated Barnes City high school in 1932, and Capital City Community College in Des Moines in 1937. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with Family Life Bible Church in Conway.

She is survived by two sons; Kenneth Slagle and wife Rose of Cedar Rapids, and Roger Slagle of Iowa City; a daughter, Virginia and husband Philip R. Musgrove of Conway; four grandchildren, Robin Schindler and husband Craig of Cedar Rapids, Bambi Musgrove of Gulfport, Miss. Toby Slagle of Iowa City, and Melinda Hiibel and husband Jason of Iowa City; and four great-grandchildren, Amber Hill, Vincent Sather, Tavia Musgrove and Nadina Hiibel.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the caring people at Salem Place Nursing Facility for the love and compassion given to our Mother for the past six years.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Family Life Bible Church with Pastor Neal Winstead officiating.
