Simoens, Geneva Nancy

Geneva Nancy Simoens, 91, of North English, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at English Valley Care Center. A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English, with the Rev. Joseph Roost presiding Burial will be in North English Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Powell Funeral Home in North English, with a prayer service held at 6:30 p.m.

Geneva is survived by her children, Shirley (Marion) Conner of Millersburg, Jim (Sandra) Simoens of Fort Myers, Fla., Lois Ralston of Palo, Larry Simoens of Cedar Rapids and Janice (Jim) O'Rourke of Lee's Summit, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Blount of Victor and Wayne Blount of Amana; and sisters, Marguerite Kahler of Marengo, Elaine Means of Greenfield and Deloris Miller of Geneseo, Ill.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in February 1992; brother, Edwin Blount; sisters, Maxine Gegenheimer, Dorothy Hite and Ruth Ferrell; daughter-in-law, Sandy Simoens; and son-in-law, Larry Ralston.
