Sima, Betty 'Jody'
Betty “Jody” Sima was born in Center Point, Iowa and moved to Gahanna, Ohio over 25 years ago. She died Jan. 7, 2010. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Xenos Christian Fellowship Cafe, 1390 Community Park Dr., Columbus, Ohio. Tom Dixon will officiate.
She and her husband, Ron Sima, have three children, Anna (Ken) Wright MD., Mobile, Ala., and Neil (Amanda) and Eric (girlfriend Kate), both of Gahanna, Ohio. Jody was a proud Grandma Mimi to Alice, Calvin and Sylvia.
Jody was a registered nurse in the Special Care Nursery at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Jody loved to garden, travel, quilt and most of all spend time with her family and friends. She had a memorable smile and laugh that made her a wonderful co-worker, friend, sister, aunt, grandmother, mother and wife.
