Siefken, Wava M.
Wava M. Siefken, 89, of Marion, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Loni) Siefken of Rudd, Janice (David) Willert of Rockford, Keith (Minnie Sue) Siefken of Cedar Rapids, Pam (Randy) Patterson of Cedar Rapids, Dean Siefken of Kewaskum, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Losee; and three brothers.
Wava M. (Merriss) Siefken was born Dec. 29, 1920, the daughter of Byron and Gertrude (Bates) Merriss. She married John Siefken and they later divorced. She worked in Dr. Carnes office in Cedar Rapids for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
