Shull, Marilyn J.
Marilyn J. Shull, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with burial following at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Memories.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Bill) Newcomb of Cedar Rapids and Cyndi (Brad) Winterbottom of Des Moines; two sisters, Nadine Haddy of Cedar Rapids and Dixie (Michael) Smith of Kansas City; and two brothers, Max (Judy) Keller of Tipton and Dean (Leslie) Keller of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Tara (Mike) Nolting, Brooke (Jeff) Taylor, Robert, Rachel and James Winterbottom; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, Sara and Colin.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2005; her parents; and a brother, Robert.
Marilyn was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Iowa City, the daughter of Wilber and LaVere Keller. She married Robert Shull on July 6, 1954, in Marion. Marilyn retired from Square D in 1992 after 27 years.
She was a kind and caring woman who loved and was loved by her family, friends and neighbors. She especially enjoyed family gatherings filled with music and laughter.
She will be greatly missed but we are comforted knowing that she is reunited with the love of her life, Bob.
A memorial fund has been established.
