Shirley Ruth Zier of Omaha, Neb., died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. Private family services. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She was born April 1, 1928, in Fairbank, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by husband, Samuel R. "Dick" Zier.
She is survived by daughter, Candace R. Bates (David A.); son, Scott R. Zier (Jean); and four grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Jennifer and Andrew.
Memorials will be directed by the family.
