Shirley Wise, 85, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away in her home from pancreatic cancer with her son at her side on April 17, 2025. She was born in Lansing, Iowa, to Lloyd and Clara Ruroden, March 4, 1940. She married Warren Wise, August 4, 1956, at the Little Brown Church and they were happily married for 68 years.
Shirley loved attending to her flowers, garden and collecting cookbooks. She was a talented cook and baker. She will be missed by her family and those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne and husband, Warren. She is survived by a son, Wes; granddaughter, Katie (Tom) and great-grandchildren, Sam and Claire.
Per her wishes, she was cremated and will be interred at Canoe Ridge Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or UnityPoint Hospice. Online condolences may be directed to the family at iowacremation.com under Obituaries.
