Shirley Schutzman, 73, passed away July 16, 2016, in Cedar Rapids due to complications of pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ms. Schutzman is survived by her significant other of 22 years, Larry McGuire; five children, Tami, Brad, Brian, Joe and Debbie; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly, who passed away on April 25, 2011.
Ms. Schutzman was born Oct. 13, 1942. Shirley's favorite pastime was going to the casino with Larry. She was a devoted mother and companion. She lived her life for others without expecting anything in return. She never complained and was the most loving and caring person. She loved flowers and babies.
All are welcome to attend the visitation and services.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the family.
