Shirley Mae Pasker, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her home. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home. Per COVID-19 guidelines, attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 35 years, John of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Brittney (Derek) Oja of Cedar Rapids and Keri (Alli) Maas of Dubuque; son, Jeff (Michelle) Pappas; grandsons, Zach, Dylon and Keegan Pappas; sisters, Karen Freerksen, all of Cedar Rapids, and Dee Black of Peoria, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mike Pappas.
Shirley was born on Dec. 6, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Doris Pappas and graduated from Jefferson High School. On June 1, 1985, she married John Pasker at Unity Church, Cedar Rapids. Shirley worked for 34 years in clerical at Rockwell Collins, retiring in 2014.
Shirley enjoyed going for coffee at HyVee, playing cards and bingo, working puzzles, and gambling at Riverside. She loved spending time with the family and will be missed by all who knew her.
