Shirley Dianne Bleeker, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Palo Cemetery.
Shirley was born Nov. 3, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, to William and Virginia (Swallom) Kysely. She worked as a beautician and homemaker and finished her career with GE Capital, retiring in 2012. She was united in marriage to Ross Bleeker on Dec. 30, 1983, at the Palo Methodist Church.
Shirley enjoyed being with her family and friends, crafting and playing slot machines. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Ross; sister, Judy Dlouhy of Palo; six brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; seven nieces; six nephews; and her extended family of brothers and sisters, Keith Chamberlain, Kevin Chamberlain, Oddy Chamberlain, Harlan Chamberlain, Jim Vileta, Judy Bridge, Annelle Vileta, Lisa Chamberlain and Ravae Chamberlain.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeannie Marie Kysely; and brother-in-law, Joe Dlouhy.
A memorial fund has been established in Shirley's name.
