SHIRLEY ANN THOMPSON ROSS Cedar Rapids Shirley Ann Thompson Ross, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Diane Thovson, certified celebrant, will officiate. Burial will follow at Piersol Cemetery in rural North English, Iowa. Shirley was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Clarambeau) Long. She married Bill "Tex" Ross on Oct. 9, 1986, in Cedar Rapids. Shirley worked at Square D until her retirement. Shirley is survived by her children, Gina (Jerry) James, Dana Thompson and Kelly (Michele) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Deborah Thompson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
