Shirley Ann Meisner, 85, of rural Anamosa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, after a brief illness. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Funeral service on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, 1 p.m., at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Interment at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Shirley was the youngest child of Marcel and Carrie (Krieg) Perrinjaquet, born on May 22, 1937, in Edgewood, Iowa. She married Walt Tegen in 1959 in California. Walt died in 1969. She then married William (Bill) Meisner on June 19, 1971 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; two daughters, Lori (Ron) Chupp and Kari Otis (Mark Jordon); stepchildren, Lou Ann (Ron) Dirks, Tom Meisner and Sue (Billy) Butler. Also surviving are her numerous grandchildren and one sister, Ginny Waco of Pacific Palisades, Calif..
Shirley will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Memorial donations in Shirley’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society or The Cedar Valley Humane Society.
