Shirley Ann Escher, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Shirley was born February 2, 1942, to Elmer and Lucille (Allen) Flowers in Decatur, Illinois. She married Ronald Escher on July 4, 1959, in Washington, Iowa. Shirley was a devoted member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She found joy in writing, drawing, and cherished moments with her children and grandchildren.
Her memory lives on through her three children, Pamela Shultz, Vern Escher, and Ronda Harnish; beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, and Curtis Shultz, Jake Escher, Brian and Brent Harnish; brother, William Flowers; and five great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her sister Patricia Mills, and her great grandson Ryder Harnish.
