Shipman, Elmer H. 'Doc'
Elmer H. “Doc” Shipman, 86, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Iowa, born July 27, 1923, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in Denver, Colo. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora. Committal service: 12:15 p.m. Monday, Pavilion C, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy E.; children, Ronald J. (Carolyn) and Donald L. (Anita) Shipman; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Elmer was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Jean Shipman.
