Shilhanek, Terence 'Terry' Joseph
Terence “Terry” Joseph Shilhanek, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Father David O'Connor. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include two brothers, William of Ottumwa and Fred (Pat) of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Paul Prusha of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Theresa Prusha; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Shilhanek and Deanna Shilhanek; and a brother, Bernard.
Terry was born Sept. 15, 1935, the son of Fred and Gertrude (Albrich) Shilhanek in Marshalltown. He graduated from Tama High School in 1954. Terence served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at Rockwell Collins as a test technician for 32 years. Terence was a member of the Amateur Radio Club.
