Shields, Kenneth Jr.
Kenneth Jr. Shields of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Aug. 7, 2009, in a Fort Lauderdale hospital. Private family services will be in Fort Lauderdale. Burial will be at a later date in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two sons, Keith and Lonnie of Florida; and cousins in the Cedar Rapids area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Born July 3, 1931, he lived and worked in Cedar Rapids, where he graduated from Wilson High School in 1951. He served in the Korean War on the USS Hamul.
