Sheryl Ann Lowe, 61, of Marion died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at her home following a short illness. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation is serving the family.
Sheryl is survived by her four nephews, Colin, Austin, Lucas (Jenny) and Connor Pint; dear friend, Laura (Dave) Lambrecht; and her cherished cousin, Terri (JR) Gallup, who was more like a sister; aunt, Joyce Downing (Joe Geier); uncle, William “Bill” (Sandy) Aldrich; beloved cousins; and most importantly, her family of poodles who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David; uncle, George (Beverly) Aldrich; and aunt, Helen (Jerry) Barske.
Sheryl was born on September 21, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George “Bud” and Mary Aldrich Lowe. She graduated in 1981 from Linn-Mar High School. Sheryl was a coordinator for Linnhaven for 21 years and previously worked in registration at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital.
Sheryl’s dogs were most important in her life, being her constant companions and source of joy. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially camping and going to lunch. Sheryl will be deeply missed.
