SHERI LOU OLSON
Marengo
Sheri Lou Olson, 57, of Marengo, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at her home after a brief illness. Funeral services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at First Presbyterian Church, Marengo, with Pastor Anni Thorn officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy, at a later date. Following the funeral service, there will be a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the Safe Haven of Iowa County or the Marengo Library. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sheri is survived by her mother. Else (Wayne) Krakow of Marengo; her siblings, Lance Olson of Marengo, Holly (Duane) Disterhoft of Marengo, Linette Lacina of Marengo, Josie Olson of Oxford, Jim (Bev) Krakow of Marengo and Suzy (Wade) Roth of Marengo; 11 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father. Bob; and her grandparents, Louis and Renee Olson and Gustav and Ernestine Radtke.
Sheri Olson was born May 10, 1960, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Bob and Else Radtke Olson. She graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1978. She worked as a waitress and also at Amana Refrigeration for many years. Sheri enjoyed reading, baking and cooking and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
