Sheppard, Jean E.
Jean E. Sheppard, 92, of Hanover, Pa., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover, Pa. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Annajean Lybarger and her husband, Mike, of Hanover; and two grandsons, Brandon and Rick Lybarger.
Born July 26, 1917, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Gordon Reynolds Taylor and wife of 55 years to the late Harold William Sheppard, who died in 2000. She was employed for almost 40 years with Rockwell Collins, retiring in 1982. While there, she helped work on the Apollo Mission manual. She was active in yoga, knitting, and enjoyed music
