Shawn Brian Glenn, 62, of Agency, died at 10:23 a.m. April 29, 2024 at home.
He was born in Cedar Rapids to Robert and Janet Jones Glenn. He married Nancy Gray and she preceded him in death August 1, 2001. He married Marsha Harrington Hunter October 27, 2007.
Shawn was raised in Cedar Rapids and was a 1980 graduate of Washington High School. After moving several times, he settled into his grandparents’ home in Agency in 1994.
Shawn worked as a freelance carpenter and owned and operated Woodmasters Construction Company for several years.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Marsha; five children, Ashley Glenn (Tyler Price) of Ottumwa, Julie (Zac) Clark of Ankeny, Brian (Mindy) Glenn of Bloomfield, Sean (Nikki) Hunter of Cumming, IA, Autumn (Dale) Stevens of Pleasant Hill; his father, Robert Glenn (Nancy Thomason) of Amana; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Shane Glenn of Amana, Shannon (Don) Fadeley of WV.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet; two brothers, Jeffrey and Blain Glenn; a sister, Kelly Ann Ransom; two infant grandsons, Aleczander Glenn and Bowen Arnold.
His body has been cremated. A time to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.
