Shaull, Verna L.
Verna L. Shaull of Marengo went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the beautiful age of 91. Upon her death, she was a resident of Bella Home Care in Las Vegas, Nev., her final retirement home. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at First Presbyterian Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Gerald Rife officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
Verna is survived by her daughter, Connie Sonntag and husband Philip; grandchildren, Matthew P. Sonntag and Timothy M. Sonntag and his wife, Narouen; and a special family, Carlos and Frannie Ugarte, and their children, Carlos and Lita. Also surviving are nephews, Lee Nelson, Donald McGregor, Brad Waline (Karen) and Jeff Waline; and nieces, Susan (Russell) Schultz (Tomm), Lois (Nelson) Longfield, Carol (Kolsto) Perrin (Dick) and Tracy (Waline) Herink (Ed).
Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Knute and Nellie Kolsto; her husband of 56 years, LeRoy Shaull; her son, Ron Shaull; her nine siblings, Olive, Nora, Emmet, Marcus, Milton, Echo, Lillie, Kenneth and Elner; a niece, Kathy (Shaull) Waline; and nephews, Gordon Nelson and Richard Kolsto.
A memorial fund has been established.
