Sharon Wilkins, 81, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024.
A visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, August 12, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom, Cedar Rapids.
Sharon was a loving wife and proud mother who cherished time with her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her knitted Christmas stockings, birthday cards with a stick of gum, and her delicious banana bars, all family favorites.
Sharon was quick-witted, nurturing, and fun. She always had a joke up her sleeve and a listening ear to lend. She was the first to suggest a board game at family gatherings, and her joy was evident as she beamed with pride, watching the kids across the table.
Sharon loved taking trips to the casino with Kenny. We are comforted knowing they are together in heaven, enjoying a Mountain Dew and catching up on the Cubs.
Sharon is survived by her son, Michael (Reta) Wilkins; daughter, Kristine Rongey; grandchildren, Cody (Andrea) Wilkins, Casey (Vanessa) Kloosterman, Katie (Jacob) Curtis, and Cole (Liz) Wilkins; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Emilia, Calvin, Hailey, Joleigh, Jason, Owen, Harper, and Emily; and sister, Beverly Stebbins.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Beth Sypherd, and her husband, Kenny Wilkins.
Memorials can be directed to HallMar Village Senior Living Center.
