Born to Wayne and Lee (Schroeder) Wacha on March 3, 1959, Sharon Kay grew up in Toledo and graduated from South Tama High School. She and her husband, Mike, recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Sharon enjoyed a variety of jobs, but her favorite has been cooking for the kids at St. Pius X Catholic School.
Sharon was a football fanatic. She cheered for Iowa and Iowa State, but her favorite team was always the Green Bay Packers. Sharon never missed the kids’ sports and show choir activities. She really enjoyed her church and the friends she made there. Most importantly, Sharon loved her grandkids more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Bob and Irene Warden; and sister-in-law, LuAnn Warden.
Memorials may be directed to the family for donation to All Saints and Saint Pius X Catholic Schools for kitchen equipment.
