Sharon Gerjets, 73, formerly of Monticello, died on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at the Anamosa Care Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Pastor Holly Knouse will officiate at the services. Interment will be

Surviving is her brother Marvin; and special friends, Audrey Savage and the Gary Wernimont family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ed.
Sharon Marie Gerjets was born June 26, 1948, at the Anamosa Hospital. She was the daughter of Harry and Marie Luck, Gerjets. She graduated with the class of 1967 from the Monticello Community Schools. She then helped her parents farm in Castle Grove Township. In more recent years, Sharon worked for HAVE Inc. in Monticello. She had been a resident at the Anamosa Care Center since 2016.
Sharon loved music of all kinds. She enjoyed bowling and taking care of her cats.
