Sharon Marie Clark, 71, of Lisbon, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, with her family by her side, at Unity-Point Hospice, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the funeral home. Private family burial: Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving Sharon are her husband, Howard; a son, Dan (Tina) of Sutliff; a daughter, Carol Gasper of Lisbon, and her daughters, Emily and Lindsey; and a sister, Jean Lipcamon of Solon.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents.
Sharon was born May 16, 1943, in Solon, the daughter of George and Ruby Beese Bednashek. She graduated from Lisbon High School. Sharon married Howard Clark in Lisbon on Sept. 11, 1962. She worked as an office coordinator for over 30 years for Kool and Nygren Certified Court Reporters in Cedar Rapids. She had a special place in her heart for the many people she worked with throughout the years.
She bowled in several bowling leagues and participated in many national bowling tournaments since 1995. Sharon enjoyed camping and fishing with her family.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who especially loved attending her granddaughters' activities.
A memorial fund in Sharon's honor has been established.
A special thanks to Tina for all her help the past several years and the nurses at UnityPoint Hospice.
