Sharon Ann Borchardt, 56, of Marengo, died Monday, March 7, 2016. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Burial: Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established.
She is survived by her husband, Craig, of Marengo; her children, Jeannie Matlick, Nicole Matlick and Ryan Matlick, all of Marengo; five granddaughters, Shyawna Collins, Khloie Matlick, Kelsey Milligan, Lainey Milligan and Lexi Matlick; three brothers, Scott Matlick of Cedar Rapids and Jim and David Matlick, both of Burlington; and a sister, Linda Dyer (Gordon) of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Kathy and Karen Matlick.
Sharon Ann Matlick was born April 1, 1959, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley and Shirley Gulick Matlick. She received her education in the Burlington schools and graduated from Burlington High School. Sharon worked as a CNA at various nursing homes. She and Craig Borchardt were married Oct. 10, 2000, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bargain shopping, spoiling her grandchildren and her two pugs, Butch and Buddy. She also liked to spend time on the computer, and playing scratch-off tickets.
