Sharalynn Virginia Vaughn, 79, of Quasqueton, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on November 18, 2024.
Born on November 29, 1944, in Carthage, IL, to James W. and Dorothy M. (Caulkins) Davis, Sharalynn graduated from Carthage High School in 1962. She married Dale M. Vaughn in Carthage on July 28, 1963.
For many years, Sharalynn worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Vaughn family moved to Quasqueton in 1970, where Sharalynn became a beloved member of the community and an active participant in the Quasqueton Historical Society. She was often seen around town, driving her golf cart with her beloved Westie, Sophi.
Sharalynn was a devoted grandmother and attended numerous school and sporting events to support her grandchildren. She was very excited about the arrival of her first great-grandchild, and was able to meet him when he came home from the hospital.
She is survived by her children, Christina (Tony) Main, Quasqueton, and Jeffery (Greta) Vaughn, Anamosa; four grandchildren, Jacob (Jaci) Main, Quasqueton, Haley (Tyler Morphew) Main, Des Moines; Ella Vaughn, and Ingrid Vaughn, Anamosa; a great-grandson, Harvey Main; a sister, Alicia (Don) Murphy, Keokuk; a brother, David (Cami) Davis, Burnside, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Sharalynn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Quasqueton Union Church. Burial will follow at the Quasqueton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
