Shara Rose Spies, 40, of North Liberty, Iowa, passed in her sleep on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 13, 2022. On Friday, April 22, 2022, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Fry Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon at the Tipton VFW. Family asks that all cards and memorials be addressed to 36 East St., Lot 67, Tiffin, IA 52340. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com
Shara, daughter of Gary Ralph Spies and Susan Kay Sterner, was born on Friday, March 19, 1982, in Iowa City, Iowa, and attended Iowa City Community Schools. Shara loved watching football, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears. She was a very caring person who had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, which is probably why she had a large group of friends. She loved her family and her grand-cat, "Momo." Family and friends will miss Shara's homemade chicken noodle soup, corn beef and cabbage every St. Patty's Day, and her infectious laugh.
Shara is survived by daughters, Trista Rose Spies of North Liberty, Iowa, and Gabrielle Rose Wadsworth of Iowa City, Iowa; father, Gary Spies of Tiffin, Iowa; brother, Dustin Morden of Eldridge, Iowa; and many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan; her best friend, Eva; and other friends and family.
