Shane Joseph Peterson, 52, of Cedar Rapids, was called by his higher power, passing away on July 3, 2023.
Shane was born on Oct. 29, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the parents of Joseph B. Peterson and Joyce Peterson Davis.
Shane could be found spending most of his time going to the river. He loved spending time with his children, family, friends, and light of his life, his grandson, Landyn. He also enjoyed cooking and watching his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is survived by his sons, Shane Colton and Seth Dalton; their mother, Pauley, their stepsisters, Niki, Jessie, and Shelli; Shane J’s stepbrother, Derrick; half-brother, Joey Peterson; grandson, Landyn; stepson, Blake; mother, Joyce Peterson Davis; sisters, Susan and Sunda; closest friends, Chantelle, Kasi Crusoe (of Janet and Dean), and Steve Huggins; nieces, nephews, and many more.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Peterson; wife, Denene Kuennen; daughter, Lacey Peterson Clark; father, Joseph Peterson; stepfather, Niles Davis, and many more.
