Shaffer, Leona A.
Leona A. Shaffer, 94, of Independence, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 24, 2010, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, following a short illness. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Independence, with the Rev. Dennis Bailey officiating. Inurnment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion Cemetery, Colesburg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (John) Pattison, Arlington, Iowa.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
