Senquez "Chunks" Lee Jackson, 15, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital. Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 6621 C Ave. NE, with Pastor Damian Epps presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Senquez was born Sept. 27, 2000, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Aaron Levy Jackson Sr. and Tamara Bloemendaal. He was a freshman at Washington High School. Senquez was active in sports, including football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed playing video games, his dog, Buster, and hanging out with friends and his family, especially his mom.
Senquez is survived by his mom, Tamara of Cedar Rapids; his dad, Aaron Levy Jackson Sr. of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Maleik, TMartez "TJ," Tamera, Jared, Aaron Levy Jr., Tatianna, Evelina, Tajma, Dalvin, Dequan, D'Yuntae, Erin and Jaaron; maternal grandparents, Larry (Alice) Bloemendaal of Alton; as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elsie Bloemendaal; and his paternal grandparents, Levy and Ethel Jackson.
