Donald L. Sejnoha, 76, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Jan. 20, 2011, in Palm Beach Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Howard-Price Funeral Home (754 U.S. Hwy 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408), followed by a memorial service immediately afterward. A private funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 28.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Audrey; children, Cheryl Kracunas (Michael), Dianne White (Denny) and Michael Sejnoha (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Jamie (Gabriel), Rachael (Jackie), Stacey, Derek, Stephanie and Kayla; great-grandchild, Summit; and many close friends
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis and Celestine Sejnoha.
Don was born July 13, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended McKinley High School and graduated with the class of 1953. Don served eight years honorably in the U.S. Navy, where he met his wife. He then retired to their home in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., after 30 years of faithful service to the U.S. Postal Service.
Among many interests, he loved most to be with his family, but also enjoyed golfing, dog racing, softball, and was known for his green thumb.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
