Velda and Jimmy spent winters in Texas. They also enjoyed touring on their motorcycle throughout the Midwest, Texas, and riding to Alaska. They flew to Japan to spend a month with a Japanese family. Velda's favorite past times were singing, dancing, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. Her strong relationship with God was witnessed through membership in the United Methodist Church.
