Sedore, Marilyn Grace

Marilyn Grace Sedore, 87, of Prairie Hills, 173 E. Rochester Rd., Ottumwa, died at 8:28 p.m. Jan. 22, 2010, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davis Street Christian Church, Ottumwa, with the Rev. Jim Wakelin officiating. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Surviving are her husband, Chet; a son, Kent (Sheila) Sedore of Ottumwa; two daughters, Sue (Larry) Zuehlke of Ottumwa and Sally (Randy) Davison of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Tiffany and Brad Davison, Allyson, Nick and Shauna Sedore, Brian, Todd and Scott Zuehlke; and three great-grandchildren.

She was born March 14, 1922, in Agency, Iowa, to Thomas and Lula Enyart Watterson. She married Chet Sedore on May 21, 1950. A 1940 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she attended the University of Iowa and worked in the office of John Morrell & Co. before her marriage. Marilyn was a member of Davis Street Christian Church.
