Scovel, Irvin D.
Irvin D. Scovel, 79, of 921 Second Ave. SW, Oelwein, died Friday afternoon, June 24, 2011, at his home. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the service Wednesday. Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.
Irvin is survived by his wife, Katherine Scovel of Oelwein; four daughters, Pam (Don) Sanger of Port Orchard, Wash., Marlys Robinson of Hiawatha, Susan Power of Cedar Rapids and Sheila Scovel (Jeff Ellis) of Oelwein; two sisters, Lena Rummel of Oelwein and LaFonda Watson (Harold) of Oelwein; and many grandchildren.
